The innovative wine is a red blend of the Swartland’s most iconic light and dark varietals - Chenin Blanc and Shiraz - and has been christened Incipio.
On the nose, it shows focused and fresh red fruit aromas with a spicy undertone and some very subtle notes of violet blossoms. The palate has a creamy texture that lingers with light touches
of peach and honey on the finish.
A spicy full bodied red wine, with white pepper undertones. Slight French oak gives this wine a soft tannin structure with smooth mouth feel. Combining dark berry fruit with spicy richness makes this wine a drinking pleasure. Able to age for five years.
48% Syrah, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot. Enticing aromas of oak spice and violets precede vivid redcurrant and damson flavours, framed by supple tannins, and carried by a fine thread of acidity to a pleasingly long, fresh and complex finish.
Matured in French oak, this wine has a surprisingly fresh mid-palate with cherry and soft prune dark flavours and a hint of spice. This won a gold at the International Wine Challenge in London, and was voted in the Top 20 Shiraz at the Shiraz SA Challenge.
57% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Malbec Bordeaux style blend with dense saturated purple colour with violet, chocolate and ripe mulberry aromas followed on the palate by cassis and a hint of almond.
