A blend of bush vine Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Viognier sourced from a number of traditional farmers in the Swartland. Each of the three varieties, brings its essential character to the wine. The largest component, Chenin Blanc, gives backbone and structure. The Chardonnay was naturally, and slowly, fermented, resulting in great texture and aromas of dried peaches and apricots and ripe citrus; while Viognier completes the Swartland canvas bringing spice and palate length to the wine.
This small production of Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay and Semillon is the result of many years of research into the best possible expression of the quartzitic sandstone derived soils and our cool, maritime expression. Complexity and character are built through fermentation and ageing in ceramic eggs and amphorae, and carefully blended....

This blend provides some mid palate intensity, with orange blossoms to the nose.The greatest feature of the wine is the freshness on the palate, its good length and balance, with the pure tropical taste. It is fermented to dryness, but has intense fruit flavour of melon, litchi and granadilla.
