A fresh, crispy, full character, easy drinking pleasure. This fruity, dry white wine was carved from dry land bush vines from the granite slopes of the Paardeberg in the Swartland.
This dry, full-bodied white is matured for 12 months in new 300 litre French oak barrels. It is characterised by tangy citrus fruits softened by undertones of vanilla and a nutty complexity. Awarded four stars in the John Platter Wine Guide, this is a big wine for special occasions.
Green apple, white pear on the nose. A full rounded mouth feel with apple and pear on the palate is backed by a crisp acidity which lingers.
The wine is translucent with a bright green hue. The nose is opulent with aromas of passionfruit, pear, lemongrass, litchi and grapefruit The palate is lively and concentrated with flavours of tropical fruits, gooseberry , creamy richness from the extended lees contact and lingering with fresh acidity and minerality.
